Nicaragua is the second poorest country in the hemisphere, with 65% of the population living below the poverty line. The greatest need exists in rural areas, where dry terrain and stagnant markets make income sources limited. Trickle Up works in isolated communities along the Kucra River. Our microenterprise development program results in huge improvements in the quality of life for entrepreneurs living there.
