Philanthropists donate with the best of intentions, yet could often donate far more strategically and effectively if only they had the newest tools. In diaspora communities such as the Persian community, this problem is often exacerbated by virtue of being a relatively new immigrant community that has yet to be introduced to the variety of ways to give strategically.
This gift makes it possible to provide 4-hour philanthropy workshops to educate up to 50 people about the benefits of strategic philanthropy. The outcomes of the workshop are threefold: inspire participants to learn more about philanthropy, encourage participants to donate money to charitable causes, and encourage participants to donate their time to charitable causes. The time is ripe for the Persian community to come together and be recognized for our philanthropic work as a community, and we aspire for PARSA Community Foundation to be an integral part of this process.
