Norooz banners
Problem
Norooz, or Persian New Year, is probably the oldest institution cherished by all people of Persian heritage regardless of their ethnicity. Norooz is celebrated in its full glory in Persian households all over America, yet the historic significance of this holiday is rarely acknowledged by the communities in which Persian-Americans live.
The Gift
Your gift will fund PARSA’s annual Norooz banner initiative, where banners will be placed along major thoroughfares around cities nationwide to commemorate this two-week long celebration of Persian New Year. Your gift will help fund banner production and installaton. After success with PARSA’s first annual banner initiative this past spring in Irvine, California, the way is being paved for many more cities to embrace and enjoy Norooz.
