Deaf athletes in Kenya are in dire need of uniforms and athletic gear. Deaf sports is a joyful way to bring the Deaf communities together in celebration of their culture and at the same time enjoy sporting events. Organized Deaf sports in Africa lags behind the rest of the world. Part of this is due to the lack of equipment. Your gift of sporting equipment and school uniforms can change this.

The Gift

Your gift of $280 will provide a full set of uniforms for an athletic team in countries like Kenya and Jamaica. The participants will also receive the necessary gear required to play competitive sports, which is usually soccer. Imagine these African Deaf athletes playing on the field with their comrades, with your contribution making it possible! We have found that sports are a great venue for Deaf students to come together. Not only does the contribution provide for the players, it also applies indirectly to the spectators as proud parents and friends who flock to the game to cheer for their team!
