KidsPeace, The National Center for Kids Overcoming Crisis
Once upon a time, there was childhood...
Every day in this country, tens of thousands of children are abused, neglected and abandoned. Tens of thousands more suffer the ravages of mental illness. KidsPeace exists to heal these children.
Founded in 1892 in Pennsylvania, KidsPeace is a national charity with 62 centers in ten states dedicated to caring for America's most needy and deserving children in crisis.
KidsPeace exists to give hope, help and healing to children facing crisis.
With the widest array of programs and services for children in crisis in America, KidsPeace cares for children through:
The KidsPeace Children's Hospital -- A national psychiatric hospital for children is serious emotional crisis.
KidsPeace Residential Campuses -- Warm, therapeutic residential centers for children who need to heal away from home.
KidsPeace Foster Care and Family Services and Adoption Programs -- The best most therapeutic foster care and adoption programs for America's neediest, and most deserving children.
KidsPeace Community-Based Programs -- Programs designed to help at-risk and other specially identifed children in their own homes and communities. A special focus of these programs is developing Autism Centers of Excellence to help this very special group of America's children.
KidsPeace Prevention and Public Education Programs -- Millions of children and their families are helped every year through life-saving initiatives designed to stop crises before they reach a breaking point.
Our kids say it best:
