Technician training
Problem
The poor in overseas under-developed countries rarely can afford or have access to proper vision analysis and correction. This in turn requires skilled laboratory work to prepare each eyeglass lens to the prescription, and trained technicians are essential to operate the proper equipment on a continuing basis. Retraining new tecnicians is also required when lab turnover occurs.
The Gift
Trained lab technicians make the entire vision care process come together in the optical laboratory, and play a key role in providing the gift of good sight for a poor person. Your gift of $34 pays for one hour of training for an optical lab techician to help ensure proper lenses for poor patients' eye wear.
