Children's Miracle Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children's hospitals. Each year the 170 Children's Miracle Network hospitals provide the finest medical care, life-saving research and preventative education to help millions of kids overcome diseases and injuries of every kind.
Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, Children's Miracle Network has grown dramatically since its founding in 1983 to be one of the world's leading children's charities helping 17 million kids each year.
The 170 Children's Miracle Network hospitals are there 24 hours a day to help kids of every age and background overcome every imaginable disease and injury—from asthma and broken bones to cancer, heart defects, pediatric AIDS, muscular dystrophy and serious injuries.
Through its year-round efforts, Children's Miracle Network has raised more than $3 billion to date, most of which is donated a dollar or two at a time by caring individuals.

History
Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, Children's Miracle Network has grown dramatically since its founding in 1983, from a televised fund raiser in a small studio to one of the world's leading children’s charities helping 17 million kids each year.
The 170 Children's Miracle Network hospitals are there 24 hours a day to help kids of every age and background overcome every imaginable disease and injury—from asthma and broken bones to cancer, heart defects, pediatric AIDS, muscular dystrophy and serious injuries. These children's hospitals are also on the front lines of preventing disease and injury through research, education and outreach programs that keep millions of kids out of the hospital each year.
Thousands of special events and grassroots fund raisers are conducted year-round through a coalition of premier children's hospitals, media partners and corporate volunteers working together to ensure healthy kids in their communities.
Program
Children's Miracle Network hospitals:
• Provide $2.5 billion in charity (uncompensated) care each year.
• Treat 98% of all children needing heart or lung transplants.
• Treat 88% of all children with cancer.
• Treat 76% of all children with cystic fibrosis.
• Treat 90% of all children with sickle cell anemia.
• Treat 72% of children with pediatric AIDS.
• Devote 60% of their services to children under age six and 25% to newborns.
• Train 60% of pediatricians and 80% of all pediatric specialists.
• Educate families about issues like child safety seats, helmet safety and bicycle
safety.
• Devote nearly a quarter of their care to newborns, who require the most intensive
nursing and medical care of all patients.
• Treat 6 million children for accident trauma each year.
• Treat 49,000 children with cancer each year.
• Treat 45,000 children for heart defects and problems each year.
• Treat 1,300 children for sickle cell anemia each year.

CEO
James L. Hall, CEO
While serving on Children's Miracle Network's Board of Governors for several years, Mr. Hall developed a passion for the cause and in 2006 became the second CEO in the organization's history. He sees his most important role as transitioning the organization from the formative leadership of a passionate entrepreneur to one of the most efficient charitable organizations in North America. By implementing sophisticated communication strategies, technology and innovative business practices, he is working to solidify Children's Miracle Network's position as the leading charity in children's healthcare.
Prior to his service for Children's Miracle Network, Mr. Hall founded National Benefits Partner in 1998. After 10 years with AFLAC, Mr. Hall recognized the need for specialized benefits for healthcare employees. Under his visionary leadership, National Benefits Partner grew from an idea to an organization that provides insurance benefits to 500,000 healthcare employees at hundreds of hospitals across the United States.
Mr. Hall studied business administration at Westminster College and the London Business School. In addition to his service on Children's Miracle Network's board, he has served in various community-oriented capacities including commissioner of the Salt Lake Township Planning Commission. Mr. Hall is a member of the Young Presidents Organization, the Million Dollar Round Table and All Saints Episcopal Church. A native of Michigan, he resides in Salt Lake City, Utah with his three children
