Problem

There is a conservation crisis sweeping America. Day by day we are losing the natural places we need and care about. According to the Department of Agriculture, America is losing over two million acres of open space a year! We are losing the places that give our communities their character and these communities are calling on TPL for help. With your support, we can help save more land for more people across the country.

The Gift

This gift will give TPL the resources it needs to protect land for people to enjoy as parks, gardens and other natural places. We will do this by helping communities set priorities and plan networks of conserved land that meet public need, helping communities raise money from federal, state, local, and philanthropic sources, and finally it will assist us in the complex business of transitioning land to public agencies or land trusts for long-term protection.
