Protect Congolese
Support the displaced
Problem
An estimated 400,000 refugees and 1.1 million internally displaced people have been forced from their homes in the Democratic Republic of the Congo as a result of armed conflict, systematic killings and human rights atrocities over more than a decade. Violence has erupted again in the east, forcing hundreds of thousands of people from their homes and sharpened ethnic tensions throughout the region. The ongoing violence is preventing relief agencies from distributing aid to those in need.
