Diarrhea is the second killer of children worldwide, with 5,000 kids dying every day mainly due to a completely preventable problem: dehydration. Oral rehydration salts (ORS) are extremely effective, preventing death of children in 95% of severe diarrhea cases. The use of zinc, along with ORS, is the most effective way to decrease the incidence, severity and recurrence of diarrhea.
