Retire a Horse
Fund needy retirees
Problem
Sheltering, feeding and caring for a horse is an expensive activity, especially senior horses who have very special and increased needs. Mitchell Farm provides a safe retirement facility for a very reasonable, one-time fee that covers only about 1 year of care. Unfortunately, there are horse owners who need our services but can not afford the fee. They may not be able to care for their horse, and this puts a loving animal in a danger- unable to be properly cared for or to be retired to our farm.
The Gift
Your generous gift will provide the aid to help fund the retirement of a needy horse when its owners are unable to afford the fee. Our Retirement Scholarship Fund for Needy Horses is a growing reserve set aside specifically to help in this unfortunate situation. Your donation will grow along with the donations of others and with interest income to offset the fee expenses making sure that a worthy horse will be able to retire permanently to a safe, caring facility. The current (May 2008) cost for retirement is $6,000. But with the power of many donations and compound interest, your $20 will grow quickly.
