Care for orphan chimp
Endangered chimpanzees and gorillas are struggling for survival. Mother chimpanzees are killed for the illegal bushmeat trade, and orphaned babies are left behind, often sold into captivity. Poaching and habitat destruction are pushing the remaining wild great apes toward extinction. IDA-Africa provides sanctuary for 64 chimpanzee orphans, enforces laws against killing great apes, and runs and extensive media camp to change attitudes and behaviors.
This gift of a six-month sponsorship will provide critical funds for food and medical care for orphaned chimpanzees. Once rescued and transported to Sanaga-Yong Center, chimpanzees require life-long care and protection. Your gift will make a true difference!
