Problem

Substandard housing is prevalent in our community. Inadequate plumbing, decaying sheetrock and floor systems, lead paint, widespread mold, and infestations of insects and rats are just some of the examples of need. The inspections of current living situations done by Habitat to qualify applicants for a Habitat home are at times heartbreaking. One must go in knowing that only a few families can be helped out of these substandard living situations due to the high cost of building.

The Gift

The cost of a home is great. Each Habitat home cost about $63,000 to build in our community. However, if everyone just took a piece then another family can be helped out of substandard living conditions. Habitat changes a community, one family at a time. Through the financial contributions of our supportors, we can do so much more.
