Problem

Children are often present when mothers are beaten by husbands/boyfriends; slightly more than half of female victims of violence live with young children. Between 3.3 - 10 million children witness domestic violence annually. Of more than 6,000 American families, 50% of men who frequently assaulted their wives - abused their children. FVPF’s training programs instruct Pediatricians on identifying signs of abuse via routine check-ups and how to move women and children to services for help.

Your donation in support the FVPF’s advanced training programs for Pediatricians and other healthcare providers will not only help save the life of a child, it will help break the cycle of violence that so often follows a victim of child abuse or a child who witnessed violence early in life.
