Everyone knows that low-income students go to college at a lower rate than high-income students. But why? Academic preparation isn’t the whole story. Today in America, “A" students from low-income backgrounds enroll in college at the same rate as the most affluent “D" students. The college access systems for low-income youth are broken.

The Gift

Your gift will help train and motivate teachers at "Educators Institutes" to guide their students through the college application process. Each teacher attends the 2.5 day training and guides students through the College Summit curriculum throughout the school year. College Summit Teachers play a crucial role in the process, as they help students manage their individual paths to college, while also serving as an example of the benefits of a college degree.
