Problem

Hunger and malnutrition are unfortunate complications of living in a part of the world where abject poverty, unemployment and preventable diseases are a way of life. It is an endless cycle: chronic malnutrition contributes to a weakened immune system, and a weakened immune system increases susceptibility to the development of disease. Those who are too sick to work go hungry.

The Gift

This gift will provide a food basket to help feed a malnourished family. This basket contains 2 kg rice, 2 kg beans, 1 kg salt, 1 kg sugar, oatmeal, milk, eggs and oil.
