Dig A Well
Water for 300
Problem
In many communities, because of the scarcity of water sources, as many as ten thousand (in some case, even more) people share a well. Because of global warming and drought, many wells are drying up and the availability of water for a variety of functions is diminishing. In many villages, wells are desperately needed to provide water for cooking, drinking, sanitation and agriculture.
The Gift
This gift pays for the labor, equipment and supplies needed to create a 50 foot deep well in a village that will sufficiently provide water to be used in a variety of different essential activities. This will guarantee that this necessity to human survival is made accessible to those who so urgently need it. The well that is created will help provide water security to a village of at least 300 hundred.
