Problem

Landmines lay buried in some of the poorest communities on our planet. Left behind after conflicts, landmines and other explosive items maim and kill thousands of people every year. Landmines also hinder the development of agriculture, reconstruction of homes, transport of goods and movement of aid agencies. Cambodia, in particular, faces a severe landmine threat and is among the world's most mine-affected countries.

The Gift

HALO Trust operational staff use safety visors to protect the face in the event of an inadvertent detonation. The visors are constructed by LBA International to HALO’s specifications, using 5mm polycarbonate and a curved shape that has a proven record of protection.
