Problem

Over 800 birds a year are treated at the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge. The most common injuries are to a wing from being hit by cars, window stikes, domestic animal attacks, and fishing line entanglements. Without the ability to fly, a bird cannot survive on its own and is unable to be released back into its wild home.
